Article #2 Huck's Escape

In article number two we will go over Huck's escape. Huck was having a pretty good time with himself and his friend, Tom Sawyer. He feared the day that his Pap would return, and the day finally came. Pap was abusive and an alcoholic. Huck does not like this and one day he finds a canoe, he fakes his death and off he goes, down the Mississipi River. Huck meets Jim on his escape and the two partner up.

Huck and Jim make a good partnership and go through many things together. The two are even split up more than once along the journey, but they find a way back to each other. Huck debates on turning Jim in but his heart sets into the right place when they realize that Huck is Jim's only true friend. One of the biggest problems that Jim and Huck face is the Duke and the Dauphin, two men that are professionals at conning people out of their money. Huck almost gets away from these two men once after they run away, but they catch back up to him. He is ashamed to be with these people and even though they are very bad, dealing with them is all part of Huck's great escape and adventure.
