Well, are you willing to take the risk? That was my initial response to the question. The reason Jim ran away is because he had been considered to be sold, and this would have broken up the family. Are  you with your family? Do you think running away would be the best idea? I think, that for you, it would be smartest to stay if you are with family and nobody has considered to sell you. In a situation like this, the cons outweigh the pros, and if you get caught then that may be the end of you. If you are asking for my advice, I would tell you to stay where you are. People are always looking out for a runaway black to turn him in for money. It would be safer to just stay where you are and hope for the best.
